Your Intelligent Drinking Water Solution!
Powerful Big Block™ Carbon Filtration - 1,000 GALLON Capacity!
Combining the power of solid carbon block filtration with a unique, proprietary blend of additional filter media, WaterChef’s innovative Big Block™ Filtration technology maximizes contaminant reduction and delivers up to 1,000 GALLONS (3,785 L) of freshly filtered water with a single cartridge!
This unique formula provides unsurpassed contaminant reduction for a broad range of common tap water contaminants including: Lead, Chlorine, Chloramine, Mercury, Cysts (including Giardia and Cryptosporidium), Chlorine By-Products (such as Trihalomethanes), Synthetic Contaminants (such as Pesticides and Herbicides), Industrial Contaminants (such as Volatile Organic Compounds (VOCs)), Emerging Contaminants (such as Pharmaceuticals and Detergents), and Petroleum Contaminants (such as Benzene and MTBE), while allowing beneficial minerals (such as Calcium, Magnesium, and Potassium) to remain in the water.
The result is great tasting water that is cleaner, healthier and naturally balanced (without the de-mineralization and "flat" taste associated with other water filtration technologies such as reverse osmosis and distillation).

Enjoy Greater Savings & Convenience with Less Waste.
Stop being nickel and dimed to death by small, costly and less effective filter replacement cartridges. A water filter should transform your water, not your wallet. With WaterChef you’ll enjoy premium quality water at a fraction of the cost. You’ll also enjoy the convenience of a 1,000 GALLON rated cartridge capacity (That’s over 7,500 plastic water bottles!).
For most households, that translates into just ONE cartridge replacement per year! (Compare that to the cartridges for pitcher filters, faucet filters and refrigerator filters that are so small that they can require as many as 25 replacements per year!) And, fewer cartridges mean less waste for the environment too!
Intelligent Monitor™ - No More Filter Cartridge Guesswork!
Intelligent Monitoring takes the guesswork out of cartridge replacement. Unlike other systems with simple timer-based monitors, WaterChef’s Intelligent Monitor measures actual usage, so you will never discard a cartridge prematurely, or continue using one that has exceeded its rated capacity again.
The Monitor LEDs are Conveniently Located on the Top of the System
GREEN: normal system operation
YELLOW: under 10% of capacity remains (time to order a replacement cartridge)
RED: capacity has been reached (replace cartridge to ensure peak performance)
Premium Quality & Durability in a Stylish, Space-Saving Design
Combining a modern, space-saving design with the quality of stainless steel and high impact ABS construction, this stylish and durable countertop system is sure to compliment any kitchen décor. The compact profile and ease of installation (no tools required) make this the ideal healthy water solution for homes, offices, apartments, cabins, dorm rooms, RVs or anywhere a permanent, under-sink installation is not an option. (Available in White/Stainless and Black/Stainless.)
PLEASE NOTE: Not recommended for use with pull-out style faucets. For customers with a pull-out faucet, we recommend the WaterChef® U9000 Premium Under-Sink Water Filtration System.

WaterChef® Premium Countertop Water Filtration
Frequently Asked Questions
Q: Is this system recommended for use with a pull-out type faucet?
A: No. Pull-out faucet designs can vary considerably, and in many cases, are not compatible with the C7000 diverter valve, even with the included faucet adapter kit. Additionally, the motion of pulling out the faucet while the diverter valve is attached can put the C7000 at risk of being knocked over if care is not taken. For customers with a pull-out faucet, we recommend the WaterChef® U9000 Premium Under-Sink Water Filtration System.
Q: How often do the filter cartridges in the WaterChef C7000 System need to be changed?
A: WaterChef filtration systems are all about performance, style, and value! Not only do you get a system that looks great, is built to last, and performs to your expectations, but one that is also designed to provide up to 1,000 Gallons with a single filter cartridge! That means an average family of four will enjoy freshly filtered water for just pennies a day with the convenience of having only one cartridge to replace per year – easy on your wallet and your busy schedule!
Q: How will I know when to replace the filter cartridge?
A: The C7000 System has an electronic Intelligent Monitor™ that keeps track of how much water has gone through the filter and will alert you when it is time to change the cartridge. You will also get a warning before the cartridge is completely used up, giving you time to obtain a new filter cartridge.
Q: Why do the filter cartridges need to be changed?
A: WaterChef filter systems have been certified to reduce the contaminants claimed on the performance data sheet. Every filter has a limited amount of capacity for the contaminants it captures. Even though water is still flowing through it and may still taste fresh, there comes a point when it is no longer providing the performance it had when new. Therefore, it is important to change the filter on time to get the best performance from it. There is nothing wrong with changing it ahead of time if you notice a return of off taste or odor similar to the tap water. A sudden or temporary change may be normal with seasonal factors or activities of the municipal water provider.
Q: Why is independent testing and certification so important?
A: In an industry riddled with unvalidated and misleading performance claims, having a trusted, independent “third party” organization like NSF, WQA or UL evaluate a water filtration system against an "official" standard or protocol that has been developed by industry experts, public health officials and consumer representatives, gives you the ability to make a sound and informed choice about the performance claims of the system.
Some water filter manufacturers base their performance claims on internal test results from their own laboratories, but you would have to know them very well to trust whether the performance claims they make for their products are true or misleading. Having a trusted organization “validate” performance claims gives you the peace of mind you are looking for when it comes to selecting the right system for you and your family.
Q: Does this system remove beneficial minerals from the water?
A: No. Beneficial minerals (such as calcium and magnesium) pass freely through the system, leaving you with water that is both great tasting and naturally balanced.
Q: Does this system reduce Total Dissolved Solids (TDS) from the water?
A: No. TDS in drinking water is usually attributed to the amount of calcium, potassium, and magnesium that is present in your water supply. These are beneficial minerals that are known to support good health. WaterChef systems have been designed to reduce unwanted contaminants while leaving the beneficial minerals in.
Q: Does this system reduce sulfur odor (rotten egg smell) in my water?
A: Yes. All WaterChef drinking water systems have been independently tested and certified by WQA and NSF for the reduction of odor, including the rotten egg smell that is often associated with sulfur.
Q: Does this system remove fluoride from the water?
A: No. While it does have a limited ability to reduce fluoride, it is very dependent upon the pH of the water. If you have had your water tested and find that fluoride is a major concern for you, we recommend finding a reputable manufacturer for either a reverse osmosis or distillation system. Be sure that the system has been independently tested and certified by either NSF® or the Water Quality Association (WQA) for fluoride reduction. If you have questions or would like assistance, feel free to call WaterChef Customer Care at 1-800-879-8909. One of our support specialists can help you find a reputable manufacturer that fits your specific needs.
Q: Can this system be used to filter well water?
A: Yes. While this system has been specifically designed to reduce contaminants that are most commonly found in municipally treated water supplies, it also has the ability to work well on most disinfected wells. Prior to making the decision to purchase any home water treatment system, it is advisable to have your well water tested first. Once you have your test report, call WaterChef Customer Care at 1-800-879-8909 and request to have one of our water quality specialists review the specific substances and contaminants shown on your report. This will help us to determine whether this system is the right solution for you.

Countertop water filtration system

We rate both our Countertop and our Shower filtration system as 10 stars.
Very high quality systems with Great customer service.
We have been using both our systems for 3-4 yrs.
Our water system to our house is highly treated with pool shock chlorine. That equals bad tasting water and dries the skin. With our Waterchef filter systems, we have high quality drinking, cooking & bathing water. Plus very healthy water for our animals.
We have recommended both systems to dozens of people & will continue to.
love my waterchef filter

i've been using my waterchef filter for several years now & i love it. water tastes great. very worthy purchase.
Posted by Dennis B on 12th Nov 2018
This is a very good filter, just keep in mind if you live in the southwest and use municipal water you'll be replacing the diverter ($19.95) every 6-9 mos. due to calcification, and no soaking in vinegar doesn't work, even tried CLR.
We are saddened to hear that you have had a poor experience. WaterChef filtration systems are purposely designed to allow beneficial minerals (such as calcium and magnesium) to pass through freely. This results in great tasting water that is naturally balanced. Because these beneficial minerals can cause build up in the diverter valve over time, we recommend regular cleaning as part of the general maintenance of the system. (The frequency of cleaning needed is dependent on the amount of minerals in your water, which can vary significantly.) Alternately, replacement diverter valves can be purchased as a replacement element.
If you have any additional questions or concerns, please feel free to contact us. Customer satisfaction is our top priority!

I used to have an under the sink water filter. Now that I am older I cannot change the filter for an under the sink type. I am very pleased with the counter top C7000. It fits on my kitchen sink back and the water has a great taste. The filter removes a great many contaminates. I use the filtered water for drinking and for cooking. Thank you WaterChef.
Best money ever spent!

Amazing product saving my family tons of money buying bottled water and also helping the environment.
Customer service is great and very helpful.
LASTS a LONG time and the water tastes great too

I purchased my counter top filter over a year ago, going on two years, and I still LOVE it! Only needs filter replaced once a year (but it has an indicator light so there is not guess work like on some other products, argh!) and super easy to install. (I am a 64 year old lady and I put mine in myself!) It doesn't take up tons of room and there are no plastic bottles or delivery persons to bring it plus it is super economical!!! Amen to that!
The cost per use is way lower and my water tastes as good as any bottled water in my opinion. One thing is they don't add flavors in the filter to make "water taste better" which sounds a bit strange to me...but people buy that...you pay for that for sure.
Anyway, I have tasted the water direct from the tap and then a sip from my filtered water and the difference is like night and day! IT REALLY WORKS...I love my countertop water filter system by WaterChef...AND to top it off their Customer Service is TOP NOTCH JUST AS THEIR PRODUCTS ARE!!!
Excellent Customer Service

You will not find a company offering better follow-up customer support. Using Counter-Top model for 2 years now, called customer service team for a small issue.
They simply shipped me a new hose itself for a quick replacement and resolution. Hats-off to the sense of ownership this company has for their customers.
Amazing after sales service and great customer support.
Clean water and super convenient!

We’ve had our filter for almost two years now and can’t imagine ever going back to Brita. And the customer service we’ve received from WaterChef has been fantastic. A definite must!
If I could give this a "10 stars" I would!

I have had my countertop Water Chef purification unit for over a year now. My water tastes so clean and fresh. Due to the drought in Southern CA the water was so bad tasting, even before I bought the unit, that I was needing to drink water that wasn't so gross tasting. Health wise it is recommended to drink LOTS of water and using one of those plastic pitcher type units was taking up counter space, ugly and the filters were getting expensive so one day I saw Water Chef online and thought I would give it a try...so happy I did!!! Been using it religiously for a full year and have another filter to replace the original one and water tastes just as pure near the 1 year usage mark as it did when I first installed it. (Installation is a breeze too, I might add.) Plus the customer service is top notch! Had an issue with the first lid battery depletion problem and the helpful woman at the service line sent me a new lid so fast I could not believe it...thank goodness because I told her I was "so dependent upon my Water Chef" that I would be "lost without my great tasting water"!!!
A truly remarkable company and service. I WILL KEEP BUYING FROM THEM! Thank you, Water Chef, and (by the way) I also bought the "Shower Water Filtration System" now too and I love that product too!!!
If it just didn't keep falling in the sink!

My poor Water Chef hose keeps getting snagged on stuff and dropping into my shallow porcelain sink. But that killed the cute light switch on top.You need a big suction cup, kids. I am ordering another one anyway because it is very good for water volume and lead/heavy metal clearance must be good-- because we live in a very old house with very old plumbing; and some funky physical leg cramp symptoms have improved dramatically.
From WaterChef: Thank you for your feedback! This is not something we hear of often, but we would be happy to discuss your setup with you in more detail and assist you with possible solutions. Please contact our Customer Care team at 1-800-879-8909.

Great investment. I am glad I bought this filter my water was so nasty tasting and now I don't have to buy the bottled water because I have no more chlorine taste, no more bad smells, just fresh clean water just like it should be. Thanks Dale, WaterChef Customer
