WaterChef® Premium Whole House Filter Cartridges
Your Intelligent Whole House Solution!
Combining the power of solid carbon block filtration with a unique, proprietary blend of additional filter media and binders, WaterChef’s exclusive Big Block™ Filtration technology provides superior contaminant reduction compared to traditional whole house systems that use granular filter media. By utilizing Big Block™ technology in a whole house filter system, a single EVR1 filter cartridge is able to deliver up to 100,000 GALLONS (378,541 L) or one year of powerful sub-micron level filtration, including:
- 99.62% of Lead (both particulate and soluble)
- 99.95% of Cysts (including Giardia & Cryptosporidium)
- 99% of Chlorine and Chloramine
- 98% of PFOA (Perlourooctanoic Acid)
- 98% of PFOS (Perflourooctane Sulfonate)
Not only does this unique formula provide your entire home with superior contaminant reduction, it also allows beneficial minerals (such as Calcium, Magnesium and Potassium) to remain in the water. The result is great tasting water that is cleaner, healthier AND naturally balanced (without the de-mineralization and "flat" taste associated with filtration technologies such as Reverse Osmosis and Distillation).
Say goodbye to the hassle of messy filter media changes and the waste of system backwashing. (Many whole house systems require frequent backwashing, a process that can use over 50 gallons of water per backwash cycle!)
WaterChef's EVR1 Whole House Filter Cartridge makes wasteful backwashing is a thing of the past. Filter maintanence is a snap – simply replace ONE EVR1 FILTER CARTRIDGE when the Intelligent Monitor™ LEDs on the EVO100 System turn RED! For most households, that translates into just one system filter cartridge change each year!
In an industry riddled with inaccurate and misleading performance claims, independent NSF/ANSI testing and certification by the water industry's leading testing authorities provides you with security and peace of mind. The EVO100 Whole House System is IAPMO Platinum Seal Certifed for NSF/ANSI Standard 53 and CSA B483 – performance and quality you can trust.
Based on testing data with typical water contitions. Actual performance may vary.
I absolutely love my WaterChef filter system! Not only do they make great quality products, but their customer service is the best! More companies need to treat their customers like WaterChef does.

The EVR1 Filter Cartridge is designed to provide your entire home with up to 100,000 Gallons or One Year per filter cartridge!
Unlike other systems with simple timer-based monitors, WaterChef's Intelligent Monitor™ measures water usage and flow rate in real-time, notifying you about remaining filter cartridge life with simple color-coded LED notifications. Since actual performance is dependent on your influent water quality, flow rate, system design and application, the EVR1 catridge should be changed upon the first occurrence of the following: annually, when System LEDs turn RED (indicating rated capacity has been reached), when there is a significant flow rate reduction, or when you notice a taste or odor recurrence.
Simply put, having a trusted, independent “third party” organization like NSF, WQA, or IAPMO evaluate a water filtration product against an official standard or protocol that has been developed by industry experts, public health officials, and users and consumer representatives, gives you the best means for making a sound and informed choice about the claims of the product.
Some water filtration manufacturers have nicely outfitted laboratories with talented scientists to develop great products, but you would have to know them very well and how they stand by their core values to trust whether the performance claims they make for their products are true or misleading. Having a trusted organization “validate” their claims will give you the peace of mind you are looking for when it comes to selecting a system for you and your family.
NO. Beneficial minerals (such as calcium and magnesium) pass freely through the filter, leaving you with water that is both great tasting and naturally balanced.
NO. While it does have a limited ability to reduce fluoride, it is very dependent upon the pH of the water. If you've had your water tested and find that fluoride is a major concern for you, we recommend finding a reputable manufacturer for either a reverse osmosis or distillation system. Be sure that the system has been independently tested and certified for fluoride reduction. If you have questions, or would like assistance, feel free to call WaterChef Customer Care at 1-800-879-8909. One of our support specialists can help you find a reputable manufacturer that fits your specific needs
NO. TDS is a poor measure of water quality. TDS in drinking water is usually attributed to the amount of calcium, potassium, and magnesium that is present in your water supply. These are beneficial minerals that are known to support good health. WaterChef systems have been specifically designed to reduce unwanted contaminants while leaving these beneficial minerals in.
YES. While the EVR1 filter cartrdige has been specifically designed to reduce contaminants that are most commonly found in municipally treated water supplies, it also has the ability to work well on most disinfected wells.
Prior to making the decision to purchase any home water treatment system, it is advisable to have your well water tested first. Once you have your test report, call WaterChef Customer Care at 1-800-879-8909 and request to have one of our water quality specialists review the specific substances and contaminants shown on your report. This will help us to determine whether this system is the right solution for you.
