WaterChef® – Premium Shower Filter Cartridges
EXPERIENCE THE DIFFERNCE AND MAKE EVERY DAY A SPA DAY
WaterChef® Shower Filter Replacement Cartridges (RCSF-7) utilize advanced ThermalGuard™ catalytic carbon technology to substantially reduce your exposure to chlorine, leaving your body’s natural oils and proteins intact. This results in immediate cosmetic benefits, including softer and more manageable hair, healthier and smoother skin, and reduced eye irritation. Additionally, you may notice that you use less soap and conditioner, and if you use hair color products, you may also experience longer-lasting color between treatments.

Our advanced ThermalGuard™ catalytic carbon has been specially formulated to work well over a wide variety of temperature ranges, including hot water. Unlike competitive brand filters that still use KDF media, advanced Thermalguard™ delivers great performance while keeping the cost of replacement cartridges very economical. In fact, a single WaterChef shower filter cartridge is often less than half the price of the nearest leading competitive brand!
Sadly, the water filtration industry is riddled with manufacturers that make unvalidated and exaggerated performance claims. Rest assured knowing that WaterChef has invested in independent NSF/ANSI testing and certification by one of the industry's most trusted authorities, the Water Quality Association (WQA). WQA requires the strictest of testing and compliance standards and is valued worldwide by consumers, manufacturers, retailers and regulatory agencies.

WaterChef Shower Filter Systems and Cartridges are independently tested and certified by WQA for NSF/ANSI Standard 177 for chlorine reduction. (NOTE: Standard 177 for chlorine reduction is the only NSF/ANSI Standard that currently exists for shower filtration performance. Any additional chemical reduction claims made by other brands are not NSF/ANSI certified claims.) Don’t be fooled – TRUST is what independently validated NSF/ANSI testing and certification is all about.

FAQS
Have an Additional Question? Just Ask Us.
Our industry currently has one standard for shower filtration: NSF/ANSI Standard 177, which measures the reduction of free available chlorine. (Free available chlorine is the concentration of residual chlorine present as dissolved gas, hypochlorous acid or hypochlorite ion, not combined with ammonia or other compounds that are less readily available for disinfection).
While ThermalGuard™ catalytic carbon has the ability to reduce more than just free available chlorine, as a matter of company policy, we only publish reduction claims that have been based upon testing our products against established industry standards that have been conducted by a widely recognized, third-party laboratory such as the Water Quality Association (WQA). We recognize this may appear to put WaterChef shower filters at a disadvantage because of unvalidated performance claims made by competitive products. However, we are not comfortable with making claims that do not fit these strict criteria.
NO. All of the materials used to produce WaterChef shower filters and cartridges have been carefully selected by our engineering team during the design phase. As a further precaution, WaterChef shower filters have been independently certified for complying with the material extraction requirements under NSF/ANSI Standard 177. Essentially, this part of the standard looks for any foreign substance that may be inadvertently imparted into the filtered water. If a foreign substance is present above the limit established by the standard, the product will not meet the certification requirements.
NO. Unlike many other shower filter systems that use cheap, vinyl shower hoses, WaterChef shower filter systems use only premium quality, plated stainless steel shower hoses that contain an inner liner constructed from non-toxic and odorless silicone (No PVC!). That means no “foul plastic odor” even at high temperatures.
